What are All-On-4 Implants?

The All-On-4 procedure, also known as "Teeth in a Day," offers patients the opportunity to have their remaining teeth removed, implants placed, and a fully functional smile all in just one day! This innovative technique not only enhances the appearance of patients' smiles but also rejuvenates their outlook on life. Many people struggle with issues like severe tooth decay, deteriorating dental work, and broken teeth. For these individuals, the All-On-4, "Teeth in a Day" procedure is the ideal solution to achieve a brand new smile and resolve long-standing dental problems.

Advantages of All-On-4 Dental Implants

  • It is the most natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing option as it resembles natural teeth in both appearance and texture.
  • It is a permanent solution that stays in the mouth without the need for removal like dentures.
  • There are no long healing times required before you can use your dental implants.
  • The roof of the mouth remains uncovered.
  • It provides the best chewing ability compared to other options for replacing a full arch or full mouth of teeth.
  • It is perfect for individuals with limited bone as it is ideal for those who have been informed of insufficient bone for implants.
  • It enhances your food tasting experience!

How it Works

This procedure involves the extraction of any remaining teeth, the placement of 4-6 implants per arch, and the attachment of a low-profile bridge to those implants. The strategic placement of the implants avoids the sinuses, eliminating the need for expensive bone grafts and long healing periods.

Our doctor has improved the traditional All-On-4 procedure by personalizing it based on their expertise and understanding, resulting in better outcomes for patients. At Indiana Dentures and Implants, we carefully assess each case and customize our treatment to the patient's unique anatomy. Your doctor will implant between four and six implants per arch, and temporary fixed bridges will be installed while your implants integrate with your jawbones and your mouth heals.

Once the healing process is complete, the doctor and lab technician will create your final teeth using zirconia, a material that is significantly stronger than the acrylic denture teeth commonly offered at other dental practices. Zirconia also provides a more natural and lifelike appearance, is more hygienic, and is resistant to staining. As a result, these teeth will have a longer lifespan and a superior aesthetic compared to the acrylic/titanium hybrid bridges commonly found elsewhere.

Am I a Candidate?

During your complimentary consultation, your doctor will assess if the All-On-4 procedure, also referred to as "Teeth in a Day," is suitable for you. This approach allows many patients, even those previously informed of insufficient bone for dental implants, to undergo the procedure. By utilizing a combination of straight and angled implants, the sturdiest bone available can be utilized while avoiding the sinuses. This method typically eliminates the need for expensive and time-consuming sinus augmentation bone grafts.

All-On-4 Procedure Timeline

The procedure typically takes 4-6 hours, depending on whether you are treating one arch (upper or lower) or both arches (full mouth). After leaving our office, your temporary bridge(s) will be securely attached to your new implants. These temporary bridges will be worn for 4 months to allow for the implants to integrate with your bone and for your jaws and gums to heal. This healing time ensures the best fit for your final bridges. Once the healing is complete, we will start making your final bridge(s). This process will involve a few appointments over a 5-6 week period, during which you will have the chance to design the smile you want for your permanent teeth.

Try In

After your teeth impressions, we will present you with a prototype of your final teeth within 5-10 days. In some instances, multiple wax try-ins may be necessary. It is essential for us to guarantee your satisfaction with the wax try-ins before moving forward. Once the try-ins are completed, making any changes becomes impractical. Hence, if you choose to modify your bridge(s) after approving and fabricating them, a full-cost remake charge will be applied.

07

Seat Final Teeth

After you have approved the wax try-in(s), it typically takes approximately 4-6 weeks to prepare your bridge or bridges for seating.
